ITEC Diploma in Aromatherapy

Students can take the ITEC and IFPA diplomas or students can upgrade from ITEC to IFPA. Further details about IFPA can be found on their website www.ifparoma.org. Further details are provided below:

Candidates should hold the ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage as this is the foundation course which includes Massage, Anatomy & Physiology and Professionalism & Business which would enable students to move on to the advanced Aromatherapy techniques included in this course such as lymphatic drainage and acupressure points. The properties of 42 essential oils are studied and students will study the theory of Aromatherapy treatments, the chemistry of the essential oils, contraindications and safety data for each oil. Key to the course is the case studies undertaken by students.

The IFPA course a Level 4 can be studied at the school or long distance with attendance to 4 workshops. The properties of 60 oils are studied. IFPA is one of the largest professional aromatherapy practitioner organizations in the world. Students can upgrade to the IFPA qualification once they have prior aromatherapy training to a recognized professional standard.

ITEC Diploma in Reflexology

Students will learn the history and philosophy of this age-old therapy. The course covers the reflex zones and the related reflex areas as well as common disorders and ways in which to treat them.

Students must hold the ITEC Anatomy & Physiology or equivalent and the ITEC Professionalism and Business Awareness. These can be studied concurrently.

ITEC Diploma in On Site Massage

Candidates must hold the ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage. On Site treatments are for the purposes of relaxation and stress release in the workplace.

ITEC Diploma in Stone Therapy Massage

Candidates must hold the ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage. This course is to enable students to provide treatments for the purposes of relaxation and stress release.

ITEC Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy

Candidates must hold the ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage. The course is to enable candidates to provide treatments for sports injuries and help improve athlete’s performance through pre and post event massage. There are 3 elements, theory, practical and case studies.

ITEC Diploma in Indian Head Massage

Candidates must hold the ITEC Anatomy and Physiology or equivalent and the ITEC Professionalism and Business Awareness. These subjects can be studied concurrently with the Indian Head Massage.

This course covers the origin of the massage as a way of keeping hair in peak condition and the specialist techniques used to soothe and ease tension in the head and scalp. Contraindications and recognition of skin diseases and disorders are a vital part of training, as well as the underpinning knowledge and skills required to perform the treatment.

ITEC Diploma in Spa Treatments

Candidates must hold the ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage. This can be done alongside the Diploma in Spa Treatments at an additional cost. This course is to enable students to provide treatments for the purposes of relaxation and stress release by using spa treatments.

ITEC Diploma for Beauty Specialists

The ITEC Diploma for Beauty Specialists consists of 5 units and provides a thorough understanding and skills in all units. Units are Skincare and Eye treatments; Make up, Manicure and Pedicure, Waxing, Professionalism and Business Awareness.

Certificate in Massage using Pre-Blended Aromatherapy Oils

This course is suitable for students who do not wish to study an in-depth Aromatherapy course. Students will gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide massage using Pre-Blended Aromatherapy Oils.

Certificate in Sports Massage

Students will gain practical and theoretical skills necessary to provide Sports Massage Therapy to work with non-pathological (non-injured) tissue.

ITEC Spa and Salon Management

This is ITEC Level 4 qualification comprises 9 units that allow students to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills to manage a spa or salon environment effectively.

ITEC Certificate in Complementary and Alternative Therapies.

This is an ITEC Level 2 qualification to enable candidates to provide treatments for the purposes of relaxation and the relief of stress to encourage general health and well-being. Once Level 2 is achieved, candidates may progress on to other ITEC awards at Level 3 (Practitioner level). This 460 hr course provides candidates with training in the theory, history and concept of Complementary Therapy treatments as well as Anatomy and Physiology of arm and hand, lower leg and foot and how to implement basic therapy treatments. This course is suitable for younger candidates who want to learn all the basics of Complementary and Alternative Therapies:
